Al brings over 20 years of design, project management, and leadership experience to his projects, clients, and teams. He has been with IPD since 2012. Al has earned a long-standing reputation for developing creative design solutions for complex projects – spanning multiple industry sectors and including renovation, historic rehabilitation, adaptive reuse, and new construction for manufacturing, residential mixed-use, commercial, educational, healthcare, recreational, and municipal buildings. Al is an expert at analyzing, identifying, and providing creative solutions for upgrading existing building systems to increase performance, longevity, and energy savings. Vastly knowledgeable and experienced in mechanical engineering, Al’s capabilities encompass high-tech and sustainable systems in today’s modern “net-zero” and “smart” buildings. 

As a LEED Accredited Professional, Al is a strong proponent of sustainable yet practical design with work that encompasses high-tech and sustainable systems, including net-zero and Smart buildings. Al is a Certified Plumbing Designer, Certified Building Commissioning Professional, and a member of the American Society of Heating and Air Conditioning, American Society of Plumbing Engineers, and Association of Energy Engineers.
