Since 1883, The Inns of Aurora have provided a unique and unparalleled experience for those who find themselves exploring all the Finger Lake wine region has to offer. Since its founding as one Inn, the Inns of Aurora have grown to include five guest houses, multiple dining options, a market, a demonstration kitchen, activities center and most recently a 15,000 square foot wellness center. IPD Engineering worked with Hart Howerton Architects and the Inns of Aurora on the project completing Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Structural services.

IPD’s helped The Spa achieve WELL Gold Certification by designing specific infrastructure elements such as geothermal HVAC, maximized temperature control, energy recovery, and enhanced air filtration. Additionally, our team ensured the systems were effective yet hidden from view to make the building comfortable and energy efficient while maintaining the spa’s aesthetics. Thus, most of the mechanical equipment is in the basement to avoid noise in the occupied spaces, ultimately making guests’ experiences at the spa more enjoyable.
